Heads up if you’re heading to the Bukit Jalil area for any upcoming concerts or sporting events. The Bukit Jalil National Stadium and Putra Indoor Stadium now have new names following a naming rights partnership with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).
Earlier today (Friday, 13th March 2026), the Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM) announced a naming rights partnership with TM for the two stadiums, effective immediately. Bukit Jalil National Stadium will now be known as TM National Stadium. Meanwhile, Putra Indoor Stadium, currently known as Axiata Arena, will be named Unifi Arena.
According to the statement, the partnership will span an initial three years, hinting at the possibility of an extension in the future. PSM said the partnership “marks an important step in ensuring that the nation’s two premier venues remain relevant, comfortable and competitive as hosts of major sporting and entertainment events”.
PSM Chief Executive Officer, Illyas Jamil, commented about the collaboration, saying, “This naming rights partnership is an initiative by PSM to strengthen the long-term sustainability and development of our venues”. The proceeds from the partnership will be channelled towards improvements and enhancements to both stadiums to deliver a better experience for visitors.

Meanwhile, TM Group Chief Executive Officer, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, said the company is honoured that PSM has entrusted them with the naming rights of the two iconic national values. He added, “Through this collaboration, we aim to further enhance these stadiums, so they continue to unite communities and inspire national pride for generations to come.”
This update marks the first name change for Bukit Jalil National Stadium since it opened in July 1998. Meanwhile, Putra Indoor Stadium has been using the Axiata Arena name since 2017, following a 10-year partnership between PSM and Axiata Group.
