Being the latest and newest mall right now, The Exchange TRX has understandably been flooded with people. Well, YouTuber and internet celebrity Bryson Lew (刘铠翔) recently came up with a way to skip the crowd by visiting the mall in the wee hours of the morning!
Bryson Lew’s latest video on his socials, Instagram and Facebook, has caught netizens’ eyes, especially after he titled it: “What does the TRX Mall look like at 5am?” Needless to say, many were intrigued as to how he managed it. However, while some praised the ingenuity of his video, others scorned it and the way he got his content.

Most will know Bryson Lew as a local on-again-off-again YouTuber. While many appreciated the content he put out, he did eventually admit that he struggled to keep up with his schedule and has seemingly resorted to doing a shorter form of content instead. Well, he recently surprised his followers when he dropped a new video on his socials showing The Exchange TRX in the early morning.
“I’ve really wanted to visit (The Exchange TRX),” Bryson explained in his video. “But there were too many people, so I decided to wait and go in after the doors close.” As to how he got in, well, it seems Bryson signed on to help Unicraft, a group of artisans who do surface finishing on walls. In between helping out, Bryson took the opportunity to explore the area, marveling at how different it looked with and without a crowd. The YouTuber added that he did actually have permission to enter the mall.
But, this wasn’t enough for netizens who opined he could have potentially gotten the crew in trouble. “Is this legal?” one wondered. Another claimed: “If the guards see you wandering around, the work team will be in trouble in minutes. Every shopping mall has different rules.” Still, another netizen defended Bryson claiming: “(He) probably communicated with the team who communicated with the mall management. No one would be so stupid as to just go and wander around without permission.”

On the other hand, there were plenty of netizens who loved the unique off-hours video of The Exchange TRX, looking much emptier without people. One even joked it reminded them of the first stage of the COVID lockdown.
Bryson Lew has yet to address netizens’ concerns regarding the legality of his video. But, we have to admit, it was certainly an interesting one. Hopefully, Bryson did obtain permission via legal channels and was respectful while exploring the mall.
