Are you guys alright seeing two men kiss on television?

The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) held a meeting on 27th April to review the complaints received for a recent “SNL Korea” digital story that was released last month (26th March).

According to the KCSC, the complaints they received from viewers stated, “A storyline that openly supports homosexuality on a show that minors watch isn’t suitable for public television broadcast.”

In the end, the communication commission agreed with viewers and came to the conclusion to impose a penalty on tvN’s “SNL Korea”.

The 8-minute long comedy skit, titled “My Boyfriend Is Block B”, features funny awkward acting and a bunch of super cheesy lines that is definitely cringe-worthy.

The storyline follows a Block B (블락비) fangirl’s fan fiction and imagination about her being the girlfriend of member P.O (피오) and that Park Kyung (박경) is actually in love with Zico (지코).

You can watch the hilarious video with subtitles below:

“SNL Korea”, which stands for “Saturday Night Live Korea”, is a popular late-night programme adaption of the long-running American TV show, “Saturday Night Live”. The programme is popular for its mature comedic content.

What do you guys think about airing homosexual content on Asian TV? Let us know in the comment box below! 🙂
