K-pop idol and actress BLACKPINK Jennie (제니) made quite a stir when she debuted in HBO’s latest series “The Idol”. While some had their complaints, others were staunchly supportive of Jennie’s role in the show. Well, it seems her acting journey isn’t stopping there.
Recently, rumours have been blossoming about Kim Jennie’s next big project. Some even claim it will cement her in Hollywood. Since hearing the rumour, we can see why. After all, she’s apparently about to debut in the Marvel cinematic universe with a character that seems practically made for her!
Ever since BLACKPINK Jennie’s performance on “The Idol” was released, fans have been wondering what is next for the idol. It turns out, Jennie might have a blockbuster film lined up, that is the Marvel cinematic universe. According to Dipe Dispatch and Pop Base, Jennie is currently in talks with the famous studio for a role in the upcoming miniseries “Team Agents of Atlas”.
The group reportedly features Asian superheroes and Jennie is supposedly being considered for the character Luna Snow. Luna Snow (real name: Seol Hee) is known for her control over snow and is allegedly able to inflict and heal injuries. However, what’s truly interesting is that Jennie’s character is canonically a K-pop idol and is the group 4L1T’s leader. Fans are definitely excited by the similarities.
Although there has not been any official announcement about Jennie’s new exciting role, fans are certain it’s likely. Several have pointed out that Asian stars from the Marvel cinematic universe have started following her on Instagram. Others added that Jennie was supposedly seen in an ice field in BLACKPINK’s “Ready In Love” MV, with a similar logo on her chest, which they take to be a hint. Some also think Luna Snow will be appearing in “Shang-Chi 2”.
Well, like we said, nothing official has been announced. But, we can’t deny it will be interesting to see BLACKPINK Jennie making a splash in her own unique way in the Marvel-verse! Until then, we suggest keeping your fingers crossed for Kim Jennie. Hopefully she will appear soon, on-screen, as Luna Snow.
