Y’all are missing out on the good stuff if y’all didn’t watch the live stream of the 2015 BET Awards.
The annual event, which was held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (28th June), was hosted by ABC comedy “Blackish” stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. From Idris Elba to Nicki Minaj to Chris Brown, artistes and celebrities alike gathered under one roof for the BET experience. Rihanna, who is one of hip hop’s leading lady, was among the guests who attended the star-studded event.
Though the pop singer skipped the red carpet event, she stood out as one of the best-dressed celebs with her gold tuxedo dress. She kept her look simple with a sleek ponytail and wore a few bracelets, a diamond necklace, and a pair of black strappy heels.
However, her outfit wasn’t the only reason why she became a shining presence throughout the night at the BET Awards.
During the award ceremony, the badass singer confused everyone when she decided to slap duct tape on multiple celebs. She even took it upon herself to duct tape boxer Floyd Mayweather‘s mouth shut and tie his hands together. While we are sure that it was a staged moment, we were still confused by RiRi, who looked unfazed on her own actions.

But that’s not all.
The stunning singer further had fans talking as she was seen throwing money at BET’s President of Programming Stephen Hill. While many assumed that there had been a fight between the two, BET confirmed to Billboard that it was also “a staged moment”. Hill even took to Instagram to post a photo of him with Rihanna and said, “We kissed and made up.”

So, what was the fuss was all about? Did someone pisses RiRi off?
Well, it turned out that all of the duct tape moments were part of the stunt to hype up the music video launch of her latest hit single, “B*tch Better Have My Money”. At the BET Awards, she announced that the music video would be released this Thursday (2nd July) and later premiered the official trailer, offering us a glimpse into the video directed by RiRi herself and Megaforce.
In the video, a classy and wealthy lady can be seen getting ready for a night out while RiRi arrives at her place carrying a massive trunk into an elevator. The former meets RiRi when she enters the elevator with her toy breed Pomeranian dog. By the time the elevator doors open again, the wealthy lady is no where to be seen but the singer emerges from the elevator carrying the dog while dragging the trunk which seems much heavier than it was moments earlier.
One can only assume that that lady owed RiRi a huge chunk of money.
