#BalletIlluminations: Singapore Dance Theatre Brings Ballet Tour To Malaysia

Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) will return to Malaysia this May to share their love and passion for dance with the Malaysian audience, through Ballet Illuminations!

After 5 consecutive years of successful performances at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), SDT has been invited back to present a selection of classical and contemporary favourites from the repertoire. SDT will present 4 choreographic works presented for the first time at klpac from 1st – 3rd May 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac).

SDT will perform in Pentas 1 at klpac on 1st May at 8.30pm, 2nd May at 3pm, and 8:30pm and 3rd May at 2pm. This performance is made possible with the support of YTL Corporation Berhad, National Arts Council, and klpac.

SDT will also be performing at the Penang Performing Arts Centre (penangpac) from 8th – 10th May.

Ballet Illuminations (klpac) will feature a medley of diverse and exquisite works by award-winning choreographers, showcasing the finest examples of choreography to the Malaysian audience. The performance line-up includes stunning works of choreography by world-renowned choreographers in the likes of George Balanchine, Singaporean Choreographer Choo-San Goh, Natalie Weir, and Ma Cong.

The annual Ballet Illuminations is a perfect display of versatility and talent that is synonymous with SDT’s unique identity as a company that is equally adept at these challenging and varied genres of dance.
