Comprised of members Eddie Shin, Jay Pak aka Flowsik, and Nicky Lee, Aziatix have been active since 2011 and they’ve previously worked with notable artistes such as K-Pop idols/idol groups G.NA, JYJ, SNSD Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, B2ST’s Jun-hyung, and 2PM’s Junsu.
After winning “Best New Asian Artist Group” at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), they began developing a strong following of their own and speedily gaining popularity after.
At the 55th Annual Grammy Awards three days ago, Cash Money Records (whose roster includes Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake) founder and CEO, Slim, walked the red carpet and announced to the media that Aziatix has signed on with the company. Slim also revealed plans on making Aziatix a successful global group.
Not a bad move since K-Pop has already begun to take over even the American music charts (read: Billboard). Even Josh Berkman (Cash Money Records’ A&R) said, “We were courting Aziatix before Psy broke, but that certainly helped!”.

The contract is over USD11.3 million, making it the biggest record deal between an Asian-American hip hop group and an overseas party. Upon the official announcement of their signing, Flowsik wrote on their Facebook page:

Meanwhile, Aziatix is currently in Los Angeles to film their new music video with Grammy-award winning producer RedOne (who helmed Nicki Minaj’s “Starships”) and music video producer Jeff Panzer.
