If your watchlist has been feeling a little repetitive, Astro and Disney+ have some good news. The two entertainment giants are strengthening their partnership, making it easier than ever for Malaysians to enjoy both Hollywood favourites and homegrown productions across multiple platforms.
The expanded collaboration means Disney+ titles will now have a bigger presence across Astro TV, Astro GO and NJOI, while a curated collection of Astro Originals and popular Malaysian Productions will also make their way onto Disney+ giving local stories an opportunity to reach even more viewers.

Whether you’re in the mood for nostalgic classics, blockbuster action or binge-worthy sitcoms, Astro customers will soon have even more viewing options. Disney+ favourites including “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Kingsman: The Secret Service”, “The Incredible Hulk”, “Maleficent”, “Brave”, and “Monsters University” will be available across Astro’s platforms, alongside beloved TV series such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Scrubs”, and “New Girl”.
At the same time, Disney+ subscribers will be introduced to some of Malaysia’s most loved productions. The Curated line up spans across multiple genres, from action and horror to family entertainment, featuring titles including “Polis Evo”, “Zombi Kampung Pisang”, “Ola Bola”, “Takdir Itu Milik Aku”, “Syurga Itu Bukan Mudah”, “Khun: Sa-Che Khun Che Nisa”, “Trabelawak: Projek Bapak Bapak”, and children’s favourite “Didi & Friends”.

Agnes Rozario, Chief Content Officer of Astro, shared that the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to evolving alongside changing viewing habits while making entertainment more accessible across platforms.
“We’re delighted to deepen our relationship with Disney+ as we continue to evolve with changing viewing habits and deliver a more seamless, cross platform experience. The expanded collaboration brings together Disney+’s globally celebrated stories and Astro’s meaningful local content, creating new opportunities for Malaysian stories to sit alongside Disney’s iconic entertainment catalogue.”
Meanwhile, Mark Chan, Vice President and Managing Director for Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong at The Walt Disney Company, said the collaboration celebrates storytelling from both global and local perspectives.
“Through this collaboration with Astro, we are excited to bring our globally loved stories to even more audiences in Malaysia, while also amplifying the richness of local voices on Disney+. It’s about offering viewers new opportunities to discover compelling storytelling– whether they’re from around the world or right at home.”
