KL is in full creative takeover mode this weekend thanks to KL Festival 2026, with the city turning into a mix of performance spaces, art installations, street activations and nightlife events.
KL Festival 2026 is a month-long citywide arts takeover featuring more than 80 events across public spaces, galleries, and heritage sites. Expect performances, workshops, installations and cultural showcases happening throughout the city under this year’s theme of “Memory and Tomorrow.”
Here’s our picks for weekend events:
Warung TERANG (Digital Laneway Art)
Warung TERANG transforms KL’s laneways into large-scale projection art spaces created by regional artists. The installation explores “Pasar (which translates to Market)” as a cultural exchange space, combining storytelling, light mapping and interactive urban art.
