It appears that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s romance has quietly come to an end. According to reports, the “Wicked” couple have recently called it quits after nearly three years together.
PEOPLE magazine was one of the first outlets to report the news after receiving information from an inside source. The source tells the magazine that the split was amicable and that the couple gave lots of time and careful consideration before deciding to go their separate ways. According to the source, Ariana and Ethan quietly broke up several months ago.

Thankfully, it seems the pair ended things on good terms, with the source adding, “They are still friends and very supportive of each other.” However, it’s unclear what prompted the split. Ariana and Ethan’s romance began after the two met on the set of “Wicked”, in which the singer played Glinda the Good and the actor played Boq.
Their relationship garnered widespread attention when it was first reported, as both had split from their respective spouses at the time. Ariana was married to Dalton Gomez, and Ethan was married to Lilly Jay, and both couples split in July 2023. Shortly after, Ariana and Ethan went public with their relationship.
While Ariana and Ethan have mostly kept their romance low-key, the couple does still express their love and support for each other. Most recently, Ariana showed support for the final performance of Ethan’s off-Broadway play, “Marcel on the Train”, writing on her Instagram Stories, “Congratulations on a beautiful run of this very beautiful show, so very proud.”

Despite recently ending a long-term relationship, Ariana “is doing great”. The insider notes that she’s now busy with her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, which kicked off over the weekend, on 6th June. She’s also concentrating on her new album, “Petal”, which comes out on 31st July 2026 (Friday).
Going through a break-up is never easy. However, it’s good that Ariana and Ethan amicably decided to call it quits after a long discussion. We wish the two all the best in their respective futures.
