Local actress Anna Jobling was left fuming after a few netizens left malicious remarks about her mother on social media. For context, a video of her and her mom recently went viral on TikTok, amassing over 1.6 million views at the time of writing (Friday, 30th September).
The replies section on the viral TikTok post was also flooded with plenty of reactions from netizens. There were some who left mean remarks about her mom’s appearance. Not only that, but some even thought that the woman in the video was her maid! Clearly, the young star was not having it when these netizens went overboard.

“Why would you insult someone’s mom like that? Can you just respect my family? For me, don’t mess with my family. If you have a problem with me, just tell it straight to my face. Don’t drag my family into this because they are not bothering anybody. How would you feel if someone is being rude towards your family member?” Anna was quoted as saying.
The Melaka-born star added, “Praise God my mother is a strong woman. She doesn’t even care about the naysayers. She only focuses on my well-being. You know what? Just do whatever you want to do. Yes, I am sad because my mother didn’t do anything wrong. I think maybe because I’m a public figure, they think they have the right to comment on everything about me.”
“Why can’t you just comment about my work, my drama, my acting, my theatres, why would you involve my family? These netizens can say anything they want but the most important thing for me is to stay positive, and I don’t want to be bothered by the issue anymore,” the “Melur Untuk Firdaus” actress said.
