Anna Jobling is no stranger to the world of pageantry. Back in 2018, the mixed-race beauty was crowned the “Miss Tourism Pahang”. She also participated in “Dewi Remaja” that same year, where she was placed fourth during the finale.
Recently, the stunning celeb revealed that she once had plans to take part in the “Miss Universe Malaysia” competition. Speaking in an interview with Kosmo, the 22-year-old actress revealed that she was previously contacted by the management team of “Miss Universe Malaysia” back in 2021.

“Come to think of it, I would accept the offer to join ‘Miss Universe Malaysia’ back then. But right now, I don’t think that’s the cards anymore. I do wonder – would people want to see me in that beauty pageant? But if I do compete in the pageant, I have to be comfortable with what I’m wearing,” the “Melur Untuk Firdaus” star said.
Anna added, “I’m not going to wear anything that’s ‘hot’. If the outfit is comfortable and suitable for me, I’d consider entering the pageant. But for now, I don’t feel like participating in such a competition.” During the chat with the local publication, the local beauty also added she’s rooting for Amelia Henderson to slay the “Miss Universe Malaysia” competition, if she enters. According to her, “She deserves to win the pageant.”
However, it appears that Anna’s plans to join “Miss Universe Malaysia” was met with mixed reactions. While some fully supported her decision, others pointed out that the young star will never stand out in the beauty pageant. To quote the commentators, “There are so many people with similar face like you in the UK.”
