Say hello to the new nephew! Malaysian-born comedian Nigel Ng, better known as his online persona Uncle Roger, recently announced that his wife has given birth to their first child, officially making him a father!
Nigel shared the joyous news through his social media on 22nd June 2026 (Monday), writing in a post, “And then there were three. After a week in the NICU, bringing you home today is the most special Father’s Day.” The post also included a photo of the family of three and a close look at the baby boy’s hands alongside his parents’.
The post continues with the media personality thanking the doctors, nurses and staff who helped the couple throughout the pregnancy and delivery. Nigel also mentioned his famous alter ego, Uncle Roger, joking in the post, “Somewhere I hear my Uncle whispering, ‘put MSG on baby, it’ll be better baby, smarter’”.
Nigel married lawyer Sabrina Ahmed in July 2025 in a wedding celebration blending Malaysian, Chinese and Bengali cultures. The couple announced their pregnancy in February of this year, prompting well-wishes and congratulatory messages from fans and other media personalities, including renowned chef Gordon Ramsay.
Likewise, his post announcing his son’s birth also sparked happy reactions on social media. Fans and fellow content creators congratulated the couple on their newest addition to the family and wished Sabrina a smooth recovery. Many also wished Nigel a Happy Father’s Day, which fell on 21st June 2026 (Sunday).
The new baby comes amid a busy period for Nigel. The comedian recently opened his first restaurant in London, “Kawan by Uncle Roger”, which serves Pan-Asian cuisine with a twist. He also has a new cookbook titled “Don’t Mess Up Your Rice”, which is coming out in November 2026.
