They say Hari Raya is the month of forgiveness, but you can only forgive someone so much, and sometimes, there are no second chances. Recently, entrepreneur Datin Amyera Zainal announced that she and politician Datuk Shahrul Nasrun Kamarudin have officially divorced.
She claimed that her ex-husband had cheated on her throughout their eight-year marriage and promised to share more details of his infidelity. Last month, the businesswoman alleged that her former partner had an uncontrollable desire for other women, and more recently, she provided further evidence to support her claims.
Datin Amyera Zainal posted on Instagram, detailing one of the instances she caught her ex-husband cheating. Back in 2020, Datuk Shahrul Nasrun Kamarudin went on an expedition to Sabah, claiming it was for an election campaign. However, the entrepreneur suspected something was amiss, so she checked the politician’s MacBook, which was linked to his iPhone.
Much to her horror, she discovered that her spouse had been searching for call girls, female escorts, and masseuses while in Sabah. “It’s a good thing he signed into his MacBook with the same Apple ID as his iPhone. He told me he went there to campaign for the election, but look what I found in his search history,” she captioned the post. The businesswoman tagged Pemuda UMNO Malaysia, as well as other political figures, in an effort to further expose her ex-husband’s immoral actions, hoping they would take action.
Netizens were shocked by the revelation, with many expressing disgust over Datuk Shahrul Nasrun Kamarudin’s infidelity. Some offered their support to Datin Amyera and her children, while others voiced concerns about the potential risk of sexually transmitted diseases due to her ex-husband’s multiple partners. Despite the allegations, Datuk Shahrul has yet to issue an official statement addressing the situation.
Will Datin Amyera reveal more details about her past marriage? Only time will tell, but it’s clear that she had endured too much to keep this a secret.
