Amelia Henderson is no stranger in local entertainment scene. The mixed-race celeb began her career as a child model, before transitioning to acting, starring in a string of hit dramas including “Pengantin Satu Malam”, “Romantika 4 Hari 3 Malam” and also “Kisah Cinta Kita”. Recently, a fan of Amelia took to Twitter to reveal an interesting fun fact that she just discovered about the “Pulau” actress.
“I just found out that Amelia Henderson is a member of Mensa International, with a certified IQ of 180. She’s beautiful, hilarious (her puns are my faves), talented, great conversationalist AND a genius? Queen Energy 👑 She’s my new girl crush,” Twitter user @@ilazoryzzi wrote. However, things turned sour after another netizen decided to bring up Amelia’s personal life.
The Twitter user, @AmirulSolihiz replied to the tweet, revealing that Amelia is also a janda (a divorcee). His statement obviously didn’t sit too well with netizens, including Twitter user @IniAlalalannn. Not too long after the latter’s tweet went viral, Amelia responded by tweeting, “If the biggest ‘problem’ with me is that i was once married, I think I’m doing okay 😂.”
In her subsequent tweet, the versatile actress added, “Also, I hate the word ‘janda’ so much. Can we stop reducing women by describing us by our relationship status in 2023? I am an award-winning actress, model, host, producer and dancer with 27 years of experience. ‘Janda’ is the most disrespectful and uninteresting way of describing me.”
Amelia previously tied the knot with Tunku Dato’ Harrunnarasheed Putra Tunku Annuar, the son of Kedah royal family member Tunku Annuar ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, in 2015. Their marriage didn’t last long, as the duo went their separate ways in 2018.
