The Amazfit Balance 2 might look like your typical training watch at first glance, but after two weeks on my wrist, it proved to be something else entirely. It fits into the kind of everyday life that’s fuelled by deadlines, messy buns, period cramps, mental to-do lists, and spontaneous walks that double as “exercise.” It keeps up, without getting in the way.

If you want a deeper dive into its lifestyle perks, you can also check out our earlier review here. But from my own experience, the Balance 2 moves with your rhythm. It’s reliable without being loud, stylish without trying too hard, and smart enough to support your day without demanding anything extra.

Where Style Meets Skin

The 1.5-inch AMOLED display and sapphire glass screen give the Balance 2 a clean, polished look that works with anything I wear. It has a strong presence without feeling bulky, and the minimalist design blends effortlessly into both sporty and dressy moments. Whether I’m in sneakers or slides, it just fits. No outfit stress, no overthinking.

I even tried it on my husband to see how it looked on a different wrist. On him, it gave off a bold, confident vibe. On me, it felt sleek and slightly elevated. It is rare to find a smartwatch that adapts so easily to different styles and personalities, but the Balance 2 really pulls it off.

The Organiser I Didn’t Know I Needed

The to-do list feature deserves way more love. I can jot down tasks in the Zepp app and they appear instantly on my wrist. There’s no clutter and no extra steps, just a clean, reliable reminder system that helps me stay focused through the noise. It feels like having a quiet personal assistant who never interrupts but always remembers what I forget.

Notifications work with the same kind of ease. I can preview calls, and texts, all without picking up my phone. Everything stays sharp and easy to read, which keeps me in the loop without pulling me out of the moment. And when the day gets a bit too much, I tap into the built-in breathing tool. One minute is all it takes to slow down. It’s become part of my rhythm, whether I’m stuck in traffic, between back-to-back meetings, or just trying to catch my breath.

Cycle Tracking That Just Makes Sense

The menstrual tracking here finally feels like it was designed with real people in mind. There’s no need for extra apps or overly cute graphics. Everything is simple, clear, and easy to access. It shows your period predictions, fertile window, and symptom tracking directly on your wrist. I like that it feels practical rather than performative, giving me exactly what I need without any distractions.

I usually check it when I start feeling off for no obvious reason. Sometimes I’m suddenly tired, extra sensitive, or low-key irritated, and seeing where I am in my cycle helps connect the dots. It makes me feel less confused and more in tune with what my body is going through. It doesn’t shout for attention or overcomplicate things. It just quietly offers clarity when I need it most.

Voice Commands, But Make Them Useful

Zepp Flow, the voice assistant built into the watch, turned out to be more useful than I expected. With just one button press, I can set a timer, start a workout, or check the weather without ever reaching for my phone.

It even connects with Alexa if you have smart home devices set up. The experience feels surprisingly smooth and responsive, which makes voice control feel less like a gimmick and more like a feature I actually use.

Move, Breathe, Check In – No Pressure Needed

The Amazfit Balance 2 supports the kind of movement that happens naturally throughout my day. It tracks my steps, heart rate, and PAI, a daily score that reflects how much effort I’m putting in. I’m not very active, so my PAI stays on the lower side, but it’s satisfying to see it slowly increase. You even earn a badge when you reach 100 PAI in a week, which adds just enough motivation to keep moving.

I’m not someone who’s constantly switching between workouts, but it’s nice knowing the Balance 2 can keep up if I ever decide to change things up. With over 170 sport modes – from yoga and strength training to walking, stretching, and even cleaning – the options are there if I need them. Most days, I just track my walks and steps, but it’s comforting knowing the watch is ready for whatever kind of movement I feel like doing.

Body composition scanning gives you quick insights into your fat percentage, muscle mass, water levels, and BMI. It’s private, fast, and fits easily into my daily routine. I usually check mine on slower days – the kind where my energy dips and even getting out of bed feels like effort. No judgement. Just a simple way to stay in tune with what my body needs.

Final Thoughts

Amazfit Active 2 Premium Lands On Store Shelves With Style Smarts & Epic New Features

The Amazfit Balance 2 feels like it was made with women in mind. It understands that our days are rarely linear. Some are powered by checklists and caffeine, others are softened by mood swings, cramps, or the quiet need to just breathe. This watch doesn’t try to push you into hustle mode. Instead, it moves with you.

At RM1,299, the Amazfit Balance 2 feels like a thoughtful pick. It’s reliable, stylish, and knows exactly when to show up. With early bird gifts like a waist clip fan and a string bag, there’s even a little joy built into the unboxing. No drama, no pressure, just a smartwatch that moves at your pace and supports your rhythm.
