Whenever the holidays come around, we know you want to bring out those swan and unicorn floats to party with your squad. After slogging away at work, you deserve a break, because honestly the past few months have been so hard on all of us. You deserve a weekend with your best-est friends away from the hustle and bustle of the city, away from the all the noise and traffic. We also know there are hundreds and thousands choices on Airbnb out there and you don’t have time to go through every single listing under the sun.

So here are 10 Airbnb stays that are around the RM200 price range that we’ve put together for you (cos let’s face it – we’re all on a budget), and they’re all over Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, depending on your preference. Happy browsing! 🙂

1. Your Secret Tropical Hideway by U-Chen

If you would like to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and just take a step back into the calming nature with relaxing greens to surround you, then this is the perfect getaway for you. This private and natural hideout might sound to good to be true to just be in Klang Valley, but it is not! It is situated in Ampang, and just 15 minutes away from the heart of Kuala Lumpur. If you’re too lazy to go out to grab a bite, the host will serve you amazing food (breakfast or brunch), as long as he is notified an hour before.

With just RM181 per night, you can enjoy a quiet, private and relaxing stay provided by U-Chen. This pet-friendly airbnb with 1 queen bed and 1 private bathroom, houses 2 guests. Although you could ask for an extra mattress too.

2. D’Majestic Place by Homes Asian

Located just 10 minutes away from Pavilion, this suite shares some of the facilities with D’Majestic Place By Swiss Garden, like the gym room and an extremely gorgeous and Instagram-worthy skyline swimming pool. Aside from the basic amenities like shower, kitchen, TV, and WiFi, this unit also comes with – wait for it – an indoor fireplace! Yes, you’re welcome. For RM117, this studio has 1 bed, 1 bathrooms, and can accommodate a total of 3 guests. They will also provide you an extra mattress for extra guests.

When your hunger pangs strikes, it’s not a problem, the famous Jalan Alor Food Street is only about 4 minutes drive away. After that, you can head over to Pavilion to shop till you drop, or head over to Changkat for drinks.

3. Converted Bus Near University of Malaya

If you’re looking for an eccentric stay, look no further! Try staying in an old bus converted into an airbnb, with just RM150 per night. The converted bus of University of Malaya houses 4 guests and is complete with a bedroom, a sitting area and a kitchen. The toilet is in a building just right behind the bus. In the lawn, not only you can hang out with the board games that they provide, but you can also host your own BBQ party. However, they can only provide you the BBQ set if you notify them a few days in advance.

If you want to get nearer to nature, they have a mini garden behind the bus/house that you can help yourself to the vegetable grown there. If you’re an animal lover, the owner also owns 2 friendly pet rabbits that you might find lurking around the compound.

4. The Robertson by Asiapex

The Robertson Suites is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. For the shopaholic, you can easily access various of shopping malls within the vicinity from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Times Square, Plaza Lowyat and many more. If you would like to go to other attractions in the city, fret not, public transports such as train stations and public buses are easily accessible too. Not only that, but the location will also make it easier for you to experience the nightlife in Kuala Lumpur, from the nightclubs to the night market stalls; everything is walking distance!

This airbnb hosted by Bill houses 4 guests, with 1 queen bed and another king bed will only cost you RM126 per night. What a bargain!

This residence is absolutely suitable for those who are travelling with their family members, or big groups of friends because De Phartek Residence houses up to 5 guests! For only RM259 per night, you could get 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With that price, it only amounts to around RM50 per person.

7. Cozy Condo by Kiyotrip

If you’re looking for a more romantic setting in an Airbnb, this cosy condo hosted by Kiyotrip could be what you’re looking for. This one-bedroom unit comes with a spacious, contemporary living room, complete with candles on the dining table, and the bathroom is furnished with a private jacuzzi bathtub in case you want to wine and chill because who doesn’t.

Aside from that, guests will be provided with portable WiFi Modem (Pocket WiFi) which can be used for map navigation, basic web surfing, calling Uber or Grab, and contacting the host. The studio has most basic amenities; however, the TV only works with a media player, so it’s best to bring your own laptop or thumb drive to connect to the media player and catch your favourite shows.

1 night’s stay at this place will cost you will cost RM129 for 2 (with 1 queen bed). Additional mattresses can be provided upon request.

This unit is located in a prime district along the vibrant Old Klang Road in Kuala Lumpur, and is situated in close proximity to Midvalley Megamall. Aiming to make you feel right at home, the interior of the Happiness Home is a clever mix of both urban and contemporary style that makes it look chic and comfy.

If living in the middle of the city isn’t enough for you, then maybe try living on top of the city! With this airbnb hosted by Jung Leang, you can now live on top of Mid Valley City Megamall. Since it’s on top of a shopping mall, the location makes it easier for you to not only go for window shopping, but it is also easy for you to grab a bite. The host will provide you a HD television set with a Bluetooth speaker that enables you to sing your heart out during your stay.

This airbnb will be able to house up to 3 guests with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. All these will only cost you RM83 per night! How cheap is that?

10. Modern Studio Unit

This entire condominium airbnb hosted by Sophia is not only near to the Kuala Lumpur city, but is also near to Petaling Jaya. Which means, you can enjoy the the nightlife of Kuala Lumpur but at the same time enjoy the amazing food in Petaling Jaya. The airbnb is equipped with a kitchen where you can prep a meal for yourself, and also a television set that lets you stay in and chill with your loved ones if you don’t feel like going out.

This condominium houses 4 guests with 1 sofa bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 bathroom. It will only cost you RM105 per night, and if you’re staying with your friends, it’s only RM26 per person. With the amazing view from the studio? Can’t tell us it’s not worth it!
