Wanna meet Donnie Yen in person?
The good news is: the martial arts superstar will be holding a meet and greet session in Malaysia. The bad news? It won’t be in Kuala Lumpur. The event will take place in Kuching, Sarawak.
Yen, who recently revealed details about “Ip Man 4”, will be in Kuching for the Asean International Film Festival and Award (AIFFA) to celebrate his incredible 35-year career in the movie industry. The huge international event will also see some of the biggest Asian celebrities in attendance.
“The state government and AIFFA are ready to roll out AIFFA 2017 next week. There will be plenty of attractive events and activities for Kuching folks and the Asean community such as free concert and movie screenings, educational film talks and creative sharing sessions,” said Assistant Minister of Tourism Datuk Lee Kim Shin during a recent press conference.
He added, “Even Donnie Yen, one of the world’s biggest film stars will celebrate the anniversary of his movie career in Kuching.”
As announced by AIFFA on their Facebook page, the details to Donnie Yen’s meet and greet session are as follows:
- Date: 6th May 2017 (Saturday)
- Time: 2pm
- Venue: Old Courthouse, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg
