The plane crash at Elmina, Shah Alam is probably one of the biggest tragedies to happen in Malaysia. Not only that, but this also marks the second time an aircraft crashed at the site which makes it even more chilling. After news broke out and videos of the incident were shared on social media, many offered their condolences to the grieving families of the victims.
Our beloved King, His Majesty, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah visited the site and consoled the victims’ families.

The Royal Palace shared on their social media that the King arrived at Elmina at around 5:40pm yesterday (Thursday, 17th August) to observe the situation. His Majesty was then briefed about the devastation by Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan before taking the opportunity to meet with some of the victims’ family members.
As seen in the photos above, the King could not hold back the tears when speaking with the grieving family members. His Majesty has yet to comment or release an official statement regarding the tragedy. While the rest of the nation is still processing the incident, one individual showed no sign of empathy and even wished that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was one of the plane crash victims.

Twitter user Najib Bakar exposed a man who left an insensitive comment on a post about the Elmina plane crash tragedy. The comment reads, “I thought it was Anwar. Wouldn’t be nice if he was on board [the plane]?”. The rude remark, obviously, received a lot of backlash from netizens who called him out for his lack of empathy.
Some even tagged the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in hopes that further action will be taken against the insolent individual. The man has since deleted the original post and apologised for his words but whether or not he was actually being sincere is a different story.
