Word on the street is that skateboarding is back in play. And we have to agree, it’s a sport that’s easy to fall in love with! And well, adidas has got you covered!
adidas recently revived a certain pair of trainers from their skate archive, aka the Adimatic shoes. Designed with both skating and comfy wear in mind, these shoes are perfect for the budding skater or for those simply wanted to add a little pizzazz to their style.
Luckily for us, we got to test out the adidas Adimatic shoes, and here’s what we thought of them.
1. Retro looks
When it comes to being stylish, classic styles may sometimes be the best. And we have to admit, the Adimatic shoes definitely fall in that criteria! The shoes come in two colours; Adimatic Purple and Adimatic XLarge (black and green). With their tonal suede overlays, wide stripes and thick laces, the adidas Adimatic trainers offer a distinctive yet casual style. It’ll be easy to match these with your everyday wear or streetstyle clothes!
2. Perfect for skateboarding
If you want shoes that are good for skateboarding, there are a few criteria that should ideally be fulfilled. You’ll want shoes that are lasting, have good grip and are able to protect your feet from taking damage if you slip and fall. Thankfully, the adidas Adimatic shoes match all these criteria and more.
The Adimatic trainers are built to last regardless of what damage they take. Additionally, with their patterned soles, the Adimatic trainers also promise enough traction to keep you from slipping. The best part? With the padding in the tongue and ankle parts of the shoes, there’s plenty of impact protection to cushion your feet when you land.
3. Good for daily wear
Of course, these shoes may be designed for skateboarding. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t wear them during your daily activities! All the padding and cushioning will make your feet feel comfy, which of course means you can wear them all day. It should be noted that the shoes do tend to feel a little clunky and heavy at first. But, it doesn’t take long to get use to the feel of them making your feet snug and cosy.

So, do we think the shoes are worth the buy? Yup! Even if you don’t skate, these shoes are suitable for other daily activities and can at least provide some protection for your feet.
