Any man would dream of dating a supermodel but sadly for former Miss World 2009 Thanuja Ananthan, that hasn’t been the case. In a recent interview with Kosmo, the model revealed that she had trouble with dating due to being taller than most men in Malaysia. She is 183cm tall.
Although some studies claim that many men don’t care that much about height difference, it’s not the same with Asian men in this country. Thanuja stated in her interview, “I find it hard to date guys here [in Malaysia]. They don’t dare (to date me) because I’m too tall. I’m actually not picky. I’m OK with anything as long as our mentality and values align”.
Thankfully, the 38-year-old actress has managed to find someone who accepts her for all she is. According to the interview, the public figure is currently dating a “special someone” from London, adding that she’s excited to see where the relationship will take them. Currently, her boyfriend is staying with her in Malaysia and the two would often travel together when she isn’t tied down with work.
The “Temuan Takdir” star also shared about their future plans together and although she didn’t specify what those plans were, she did share the thing both she and her lover have in common and how supportive he is of her. “He’s also an animal lover like me. I’m open-minded and outspoken. Not everyone is willing to accept a woman like me,” she added.
Thanuja Ananthan did not disclose her boyfriend’s identity for obvious reasons, but we’re glad to hear she has found someone special in her life.
