Kim Sae Ron (김새론) has apparently found herself in trouble with the law! According to reports from South Korean media outlets, the former child star is currently under investigation for driving under the influence (DUI).
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul came up with a press statement today (Wednesday, 18th May), saying that they are currently investigating Sae Ron on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act. (Drunk Driving).
Based on the reports, the Gangnam Police stated that they had received six to seven reports that a vehicle was moving “unsteadily” on the road. Sae Ron was caught at the Hakdong neighbourhood in Gangnam at around 8am. She was said to have rammed a roadside structure near the intersection. Sae Ron was then caught after attempting to flee the scene.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the police asked the driver of the vehicle (Sae Ron) to take a breathalyser test. However, Kim Sae Ron requested to undergo a blood test at a hospital. Channel A and Yonhap News also revealed additional reports detailing the incident.
The “Queen’s Classroom” actress had reportedly crashed into the guardrails and trees by the street at least three times. “The citizens reported that she (Sae Ron) hit the guardrails several times. Since the driver wants to conduct a blood alcohol test, we will confirm the exact charges after the test results are out,” the police official told the outlet.
The 21-year-old’s agency Gold Medalist responded to the reports by stating, “We are currently looking into the reports that Kim Sae Ron is being investigated for violating the Road Traffic Act (DUI). We will convey our position as soon as we have confirmed the news.”
