It looks like Ma DongSeok (마동석) will finally hold a wedding with his partner Ye JungHwa (예정화) after registering their marriage in 2021! The actor, who also goes by Don Lee, shared the happy news with fans earlier today (8th April) through his agency, Big Punch Entertainment.
According to reports, the “Eternals” actor will hold a wedding ceremony in May of this year. His agency, which he shares with his fitness model wife, revealed that the action star is in the midst of planning the ceremony. The affair would be a quiet and private ceremony with only family and close acquaintances in attendance.
However, there are rumours that the couple are also considering holding a public ceremony, perhaps for reporters and other celebrities to attend. Unfortunately, the agency did not reveal details of the wedding date. Some news outlets have previously speculated that the wedding date is 25th May (Saturday), but industry insiders have allegedly confirmed the ceremony will be on 26th May (Sunday).
Ma DongSeok and Ye JungHwa went public with their relationship in 2016 and registered their marriage in 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and their busy schedules, the couple postponed their wedding ceremony to an unconfirmed date. The pair received tons of media attention for their relationship due to the large age gap of 17 years, as the actor is 53 and his wife is 36 as of 2024.
Ma DongSeok will greet fans later this month at the premiere of his upcoming film, “The Roundup: Punishment”, so hopefully, he’ll clear up the air on some of these questions. Nevertheless, congratulations to the couple, and we wish them a smooth ceremony.
