Absolut recently announced the arrival of Absolut Karnival, a passion fruit and orange blossom-flavoured limited edition offering, during a carnival themed evening at The View @ G Tower, Kuala Lumpur. Featuring artwork by Brazilian graphic novel artist and writer Rafael Grampá, who is world-renowned for his Marvel work, the bottle manages to completely capture the transformative energy or a carnival — fun, colourful and full of life!
At the Absolut Karnival party, guests, celebrities and lovers of Absolut were treated to a night filled with lively and authentic carnival performances, including carnival dancers and capoeira performers. The night truly embodied a celebration of a carnival as The View was transformed into a colourful, festive and carnival filled atmosphere.
Apart from that, all those present also indulged in limited edition carnival inspired cocktails and canapés throughout the evening. Specially crafted by Absolut, the Absolut Karnival cocktail menu showcased the different elements and personality of each Karnival character.
Celebrating freedom, the ‘Karnival Mojito’ was inspired by Freedom Knight. The drink featured a combination of the passion fruit and blossom orange base of Absolut Karnival with refreshing mint and lime notes which was simply refreshing. The ‘Pin-Up’ on the other hand celebrated the union and life which was expressed through the signature notes of vanilla, combined with zesty tinges of the pineapple and citrus base of Absolut Karnival.
The ‘Free Spirited’ cocktail which was our favourite, was inspired by the character ‘Young Spirit’. It celebrates the young spirit within everyone and is expressed through a unique marriage of 5 different citrus notes; lime, lemon, orange, orange blossom and passion fruit − topped off with guava, resulting in a refreshing blend that will awake the young spirit within us all.
Perfectly capturing the essence of its character Smooth Gentleman, ‘Latin Passion’ celebrates the kindness of the carnival, and is shown through a light and airy mix of pomegranate juice with the passion fruit and blossom orange base of Absolut Karnival. Lastly, an inspiration from the ‘Happy Griffon’, the ‘Parade of Passion’, was a delicious concoction with tart notes of apples, citrus notes of pomegranates paired with the Absolut Karnival was a symbol of friendship, joy and courage.
