Theft can happen to anyone, including celebrities. Most recently, Moka Fang (方媛), the Chinese model and wife of Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok (郭富城), revealed that she got robbed while on a trip to Milan.
The public figure shared the news on 26th February 2025 (Wednesday) through her Weibo account, revealing that someone had stolen her black Dior bag at the Milan Malpensa Airport. In her post, Moka said, “My bag was stolen just as I arrived at the Milan airport. I would like to remind everyone to take good care of all your valuables.”. The model also said that the bag contained her wallet, identification documents, bank cards, camera and some important items.
Along with the post, Moka attached two images to show what the bag looked like. According to the photos, the bag in question is the Dior Book Tote in Black, which costs approximately HK$35,000 (approximately RM19,900). Her post sparked widespread discussion and quickly trended on social media. The post also drew a lot of comments from netizens who urged her to freeze her bank cards to prevent fraudulent transactions.
The 37-year-old has reported the theft to the police, noting that she thankfully had her phone in her pocket. However, she asked the public if there was any way to retrieve the other valuable items. Many netizens advised her to check nearby rubbish bins since some thieves would trash items they find no value. Others say she should immediately head to the embassy to get a replacement for her important documents.
As of reporting, Moka has yet to update on the status of her missing handbag. News outlets also reached out to the Chinese Consulate General in Milan to get an update on the case, but a staff member said they hadn’t received any request for help at the time. However, theft cases in Italy are unfortunately common. The Chinese Embassy in Italy has also issued a notice reminding Chinese tourists to be cautious with their items when travelling to the country.
