Celebrities are often worshipped as higher beings. This can be attributed to their heavily polished, superhuman looks.
Though, what many have failed to realise is that celebrities are humans too, and that their deity-like beauty often come from treating their appearance as a full-time job backed by endless financial resources. They utilise professional glam squads, advanced cosmetic dermatology, strict personal trainers, and highly flattering lighting, all amplified by digital editing.

With that being said, when a celebrity is spotted with physical traits that remind us that they’re humans too, should we be losing our minds over it and should the celebrity be shamed for it?
Case in point
39-year-old Chinese actress, Jiang Shuying (Maggie Jiang), is currently going viral online as a claim that she has hair on her toes is circulating X.

A recent X post by 繁律 showcased an image of the actress during an exclusive promotional event in October 2020 while including a zoomed-in picture allegedly showing the actress’s foot, where body hair can be seen on the toes. Disclaimer: It cannot be confirmed whether the image of the foot is real or falsified.
繁律 then shared their heartbreak by saying the actress, who they referred to as a ‘Goddess’, has degraded herself for having body hair.

“My Goddess actually has hair on her legs too. My heart feels so heavy, the Goddess has fallen from her pedestal,” they wrote.
“It’s biology, not a crime”
Despite not knowing whether the image of the foot is real or fake, some pointed out that the actress should have gotten rid of the body hair before attending the event.
Thankfully, others were quick to defend by pointing out that it’s only normal for humans to have body hair.

P.s. Having hair on on your toes is a great sign that indicates healthy, robust blood circulation in your extremities.
Conclusion: Celebs are humans too!
Despite their elevated status, celebrities are still human beings with entirely normal bodies.
In an industry that often demands constant perfection under unforgiving lighting, cameras and public scrutiny, it is unrealistic to expect them to appear flawlessly groomed at every moment of their lives.
Small details such as body hair and skin texture are natural parts of being human – yet celebrities are frequently denied the grace and normalcy that everyday folks are given.
So, the next time you see a celebrity with normal human traits, do remember to be kind or mind ya own business.
