Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere!
We had F-U-N with F&N, raised the roof at Japan Expo, served shopaholic realness at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, reached cruise altitude with EVA Air, and MUCH, MUCH MORE! We were on the scene, and vibing like a boss! Just check out our social diary for this past week (don’t be jelly!):
Japan Expo Malaysia 2023
We had a front-row seat to The Japan Expo Malaysia 2023, which totally SLAYED at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, recently. This year’s event marked the expo’s offline return after a successful online run.
At the launch of the 3-day event, we were blown away by a spectacular cultural performance, before being greeted by the president of G-YU Creative Yupharet Eakturapakal, CEO of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd Joyce Yap, and the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, His Excellency Takahashi Katsuhiko.
On Day 2, we attended the expo’s press conference, where we spoke to J-Pop powerhouse groups Sakurazaka46, BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE and PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE about their time in Malaysia and what they planned for their fans in their performances.
On the last day, we made a beeline for the Cosplay Competition to admire the AMAZE-BALLZ costumes of talented cosplayers. The judges were cosplayers Thames and Amelia Khor, designer Melinda Looi and G-YU Creative Vice President, Tomomi Kobayashi. Check out what went down on all 3 days:

Kate Spade’s Green Pop-Up Launch
We strutted into kate spade new york’s experiential pop-up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, recently – and had a blast! The pop-up was in conjunction with the label’s Fall 2023 collection, and we also got to check out their new Dakota handbag line.
Wrapped in kate spade green, the pop-up offers several experiential elements to inspire and engage visitors in various activities, including a photobooth and a digital A.I. station. Guests taking part in their digital gamification will also stand the chance to receive complimentary cocktails and mocktails inspired by the fall season.

‘Made-In-Malaysia’ Tour @ Pavilion Bukit Jalil
We played tourist at Pavilion Bukit Jalil as part of their ‘Made-In-Malaysia’ media tour to celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day, recently. The tour took us to multiple outlets in the mall where we could #SapotLokal and shop from our homegrown brands. The first stop was Teh Tarik Place, where guests participated in a few challenges, including ‘LAKSAmana?’, where we tried laksa from different states.
Next was the dUCk store, where we took part in a hijab-styling tutorial with their in-house stylist, before heading over to BEAR IT ART & CRAFT to get creative with a Malaysia-inspired craft. We then headed to Alha Alfa Cosmetics for a Merdeka-inspired make-up tutorial, before making a quick stop to check out a stunning dress created by UCSI University Students in collaboration with Pavilion Bukit Jalil in conjunction with their Merdeka celebrations. After that, we dropped by duluKINI to shop for local souvenirs and play a little game, before ending the tour with a makan sesh at Real Kungfu GD. What a day!

Safilo FW23 Eyewear Presentation
We feasted our peepers on a preview of Safilo Group’s Fall/Winter 2023 eyewear collection, recently. Presented at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, the showcase gave us a glorious look at glasses and sunnies coming up in the new season from brands like kate spade, Carolina Herrara, Fossil, Boss by Hugo Boss, and Polaroid.
There were all kinds of eyewear in all shapes and sizes, even some perfectly made for the little ones in your life. The eyes certainly have it!

EVA Air’s ‘Elevating Your Experience’ Launch
We were front and centre at the recent launch of EVA Air’s ‘Elevating Your Experience’ campaign, showcasing routes from Kuala Lumpur to several European cities including Milan, Munich, Paris, Vienna, London and Amsterdam. If you were at The Starhill or Pavilion Kuala Lumpur over these past few days, you might have noticed an Augmented Reality (AR) green truck where you could experience an immersive Instagram filter and join EVA Air’s contest to stand a chance to win free return flights!

LG PuriCare Tankless Water Purifier Launch
We were at the Grand Nexus Ballroom in Bangsar for the launch of the cleanest water we could ever have – courtesy of LG’s latest addition to their Objet Collection: the new LG PuriCare Self-Service Tankless Water Purifier.
We got a sneak peek at what this water purifier is capable of, and even had hands-on experience testing out its various features. And boy, is it easy operate, right after installation! Check out what went down in our reel below:

Vivo X BananaBro ‘Click’ With Merdeka Spirit
What better way to celebrate the Merdeka Spirit than by visiting our national landmarks and enjoying Malaysian cuisine?
We visited Berjaya Times Square, where we were treated to a feast hosted by BananaBro. But before we chowed down, we sharpened our photography skills and snapped some Instagram-worthy shots with the vivo Y78. But that wasn’t all! We took what we learned to the streets, as we were taken on a Hop-On, Hop-Off bus tour around KL’s amazing landmarks and captured some one-of-a-kind photos for us to treasure.

Sushi-Making Masterclass @ THIRTY8
If you love sushi and thick slabs of meat, what’s stopping you from merging them? That’s exactly what we did when we attended a sushi-making masterclass, where we mixed rice, nori, and Australian beef and lamb.
The class was held at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s THIRTY8 restaurant, where everyone tried out something new. Not only that, we were also treated to hearty meals, featuring double-boiled beef soup, a special banana ice cream, and much, much more.

F&N 140th Anniversary Launch
After 140 years of serving the Malaysian community, F&N proudly launched their glittering anniversary celebration at 1Utama, recently.
We got to explore the Pekan F&N, which offered plenty of things to do, such as enjoy snacks from Cocoaland, watch a film at the Pawagam F&N (F&N Cinema), play games at the booths, and of course, enjoy a nice cold drink from F&N.
100PLUS ambassadors Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei and Dato’ Muhammad Azizulhasni bin Awang were also present at the launch.
