Bring us the champagne. We are so ready to celebrate the launch of Adele‘s long-awaited new album!
Through an open letter to her fans, the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter announced that her new album will be titled “25”. Following the tradition of her first 2 albums, “19” and “21”, this new album is titled after her age she was while writing it.
The announcement came after she surprised fans with a preview of her new song in a commercial break during “X Factor UK” on Sunday (18th October).
Fans are, of course, glad that she’s finally going to release new music. The British artiste hasn’t released anything since “Skyfall”, the official theme song to the 2013’s James Bond movie. “25” also comes almost 5 years after she released “21″, her sophomore album which sold some 30 million copies worldwide and won 7 Grammys.
The 27-year-old singer revealed that her new album won’t be another “break-up record”. Instead, she “would call it a make-up record”.
“I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did,” she said.
She then added:
Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk.
Before concluding her open letter, she said:
25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing.
“And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened,” she wrote.

It is unclear how many tracks will be featured in “25″, but it will be released on 20th November via Columbia in the US.
