As the other groups formed through Mnet’s survival shows, boy group ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원) is a temporary group with a contract period of two-and-a-half years. However, the members recently announced plans to extend their group activities.
On 1st December 2025 (Monday), ZEROBASEONE’s agency, WakeOne, announced that all nine members and the company have mutually agreed to extend their group activities for an additional two months. As part of their formation under “Boys Planet”, the group was scheduled to disband in January 2026, two years and six months after their debut in July 2023.

With the additional two months, ZEROBASEONE is now scheduled to end their group activities in March 2026. According to the official announcement, the K-pop act has plans to hold an encore concert for their “HERE&NOW” world tour and release new music during the period. Their fan club and fan chat services have also been extended without additional payment.
ZEROSEs (ZEROBASEONE’s fans) have reacted to the news, sharing mixed opinions. Some were happy that the group is extending their activities to spend more time with fans and release more projects. However, others expressed disappointment that the extension period is only two months, lamenting that it’s too short for a proper album promotion.

Many fans also urged ZEROBASEONE to renew their contracts with WakeOne and continue group activities for another year. It’s worth noting that the “Girls Planet 999” group, Kep1er (케플러), is still promoting together, despite initially being scheduled to disband in July 2024, after seven out of nine members renewed their contracts.
Of course, there is still a possibility that the ZEROBASEONE members would renew their contract after the two-month extension. What are your thoughts on this?
