Chadwick Boseman may have left this world far too soon, but his light continues to blaze across Hollywood. The celebrated “Black Panther” star was posthumously honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 20th November (Thursday). The emotional ceremony in Tinseltown was led by director Ryan Coogler, actress Viola Davis and the late actor’s wife, Simone Ledward-Boseman, who gathered alongside fans and industry figures to celebrate his lasting legacy.
Since his passing, the actor has received numerous prestigious awards posthumously, each recognising his outstanding contributions to film and storytelling. The confirmation that he would receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame added another heartfelt milestone to the ongoing tributes honouring his legacy.

“Today we recognise a lifetime of artistry. We recognise your skill and your devotion, and we cement your legacy as a hero and an icon. You lived with honour and walked in truth. You were as brilliant as you were beautiful, and as courageous as you were kind. We love you, we miss you, and we thank you,” said the late actor’s wife. Her words captured the profound admiration and warmth felt throughout the ceremony, reflecting the enduring love so many continue to hold for him.
The “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler remembered Chadwick as an “incredibly generous” person, sharing that “even when he knew his days were limited and his moments were numbered, he still gave to the art form. He still threw himself into the fire.” He added that despite his illness, the star’s dedication never wavered: “Even though he was going through what he was going through, he would do his own stunts, he would be there for off-camera dialogue readings. It was incredible.”

Viola Davis, who starred alongside him in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”, paid tribute to the depth and humanity he brought to every performance. “His work reminded us that we are less alone. That was Chadwick, more than just an actor who you can observe on screen doing wonderful work,” she said.
Disney CEO Bob Iger, Michael B. Jordan, and the late star’s brothers, Kevin and Derrick Boseman, also attended the ceremony. With the unveiling of his star, Chadwick Boseman’s legacy continues to shine, etched permanently into Hollywood history and into the hearts of audiences around the world.
