Even way before The Exchange TRX was officially opened to the public, many have speculated about the existence of an Apple Store that’s located at the mall. If the rumours are true then it would be the first-ever and only official Apple Store in Malaysia.
To this day, there hasn’t been any official announcement or teaser by Apple or the mall itself about the rumoured outlet but there was once a video that showed workers secretly setting up the Apple logo in front of the building. It seems that another one has circulated online that allegedly showed the store’s interior.
A couple of days ago, a (now-deleted) video was posted on Twitter by user @/rehanhamdanrh that showed the alleged interior of the rumoured Apple Store at The Exchange TRX. The original video appeared to have been taken from inside the building but there was no information on who exactly took the footage or how they gained access to enter.
If the content of the video turned out to be true then it would mean that the mysterious building at the luxury shopping centre is indeed the Apple Store. As seen in the screenshots above, the building has the classic Apple Store experiential area; tables and shelves that display the popular tech products as well as the big screen that’s usually used for the Apple Session classes.
Not much else was seen in the video, not even the company’s iconic logo but the alleged leaked footage was enough to convince Apple fans that the store will be opening soon. Some were excited about the store’s opening after seeing the reposted version of the video while others were curious as to what happened to the person who leaked the Apple Store’s interior.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there has been no information as to what happened to the individual who took the video. As always, Apple has neither confirmed nor denied the rumours about having an official outlet at The Exchange TRX, although there have been some hints that suggest the store’s existence.
