Sunway Lost World of Tambun and Lost World Hotel will shut down temporarily after one of its visitors was suspected to have tested positive for Covid-19.
The management will close both its theme park and hotel for 14 days (13th October – 26th October) in order to carry out sanitisation works as a precaution for safety.
The news came to light after Sunway Lost World Of Tambun announced the closure on its Facebook page yesterday (13th October). According to the statement, the matter was disclosed verbally by the Ministry of Health (MoH) that had immediately performed active detection amongst close contacts of the individual.
It stated, “The Ministry of Health (MoH) has immediately conducted contract tracing on all suspected close contacts. Please stay calm as we continue to work with the relevant government authorities and the Ministry of Health in addressing this matter.”
The management added more information in its comments section stating, “According to MoH, if you are a contact to a positive case, MySejahtera App or the health department will notify you. If you are not contacted, you are not a possible contact. Stay clam & practice strict SOP.”
As of 13th October 2020, there are a total number of 319 confirmed cases in Perak with 16 new cases reported.
