Ever wondered what Sir Paul McCartney has been doing when he’s not making music?
The Beatles rocker will be portraying a pirate in the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”. To excite fans even more the music legend has unveiled his character poster on social media.
According to a cast list, McCartney is playing a jail guard in the 5th instalment of Disney’s popular “Pirates” franchise. Although the 74-year-old singer is seen holding a hand of cards while clad in full pirate costume, it is believed that his role would be no more than a cameo.
Several fans have pointed out that the character’s impressive pirate beard and dreadlocks resembles that of Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp), but we all know that Jack Sparrow’s father – Captain Teague – was previously portrayed by another British musician, Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards.
Having said that, we’re still stoked to see McCartney in action on the big screen. This will be the first time the iconic entertainer has played someone other than himself.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will set sail to cinemas on 25th May 2017.
