“There ain’t no, ain’t no, ain’t no shadows.”
2PM’s Jun.K just dropped “no shadow” at midnight today (Thursday, 12th January) and the catchy track is already stuck in our heads. The song is included in his 2nd extended play, titled “77-1X3-00”, and is extremely different from his pre-release ballad track “Your Wedding“.
Aside from the title and the pre-release track, “77-1X3-00” records a total of 8 tracks, which are “alive pt2”, “no goodbye”, “phone call”, “mary poppins”, “good morning”, “walking on the moon”, “just one night”, and “love letter remix”. Jun.K also wrote and composed all the tracks in the album as a thank you gift to fans.
With lyrics like “I’ve been drinkin’ drinkin’ drinkin’ all day all night”, “This lonely night that’s torturing me baby, when you’re gone”, and “I suffer every day, I still think you’re next to me”, the song sings of the desperation Jun.K feels after his lover leaves him.
The music video also echoes the sentiments of the lyrics, with the 2PM singer going through the motions of a breakup. We see him struggling to forget the memories of his former lover by subjecting himself to endless parties and alcohol.
Watch:
Sadly, Jun.K won’t be promoting this track on music shows as it is his last album before his enlistment. He will also be holding his first ever solo concert in South Korea this weekend (14th and 15th January).
“77-1X3-00” is currently available on iTunes.
