A landlord has the right to confront or take action if a tenant has not been paying rent but this local landlord, unfortunately, had a terrifying experience when her tenant threatened her with a sharp weapon during her visit.
As reported by Harian Metro, a landlord named Liza Mohamad filed a police report against a man who was said to be a popular singer back in the 90s. In her report, she claimed that the singer, who has not been paying the rent and bills, came out of the house with a parang or machete when she came to discuss things with him.

According to the private sector worker, the unnamed artist has not been paying his rent since June earlier this year. He failed to explain the reasons for the delay in paying his rent which has now accumulated to RM3,600 along with the electricity bills which have now accumulated to RM6,700. Putting the bills together, the total amount of money he owes is RM10,300.
Due to the tenant not paying the rent, the owner of the house has been struggling financially. The mother-of-three also claimed that the contract for renting the house ended back in September but the celeb still refuses to move out. Apart from the unpaid bills, neighbours have also complained about the singer causing trouble around the neighbourhood such as making too much noise, damaging others’ properties, and littering everywhere.
Liza revealed that she has tried contacting the 90s vocalist numerous times but did not receive any response until the recent incident. “He’s not willing to negotiate. He came out with a parang when I came over to discuss things with him,” she said. When the homeowner asked the reason for bringing out a weapon, the artist claimed that he thought thieves had entered the premises but for some reason did not put the sharp object away throughout their entire conversation.

Unfortunately, the landlord said she could not afford an attorney to take legal action against the singer so she’s trying to settle this dispute outside of court. At the time of writing, there has been no update on the case apart from Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah confirming that the authorities have received a report regarding the incident.
There is also currently no update on the identity of the popular 90s singer. We hope that this case will be resolved peacefully between the two parties.
