Jasin Wanita UMNO chief, Datuk Zaleha Bujang, married a young businessman named Ashraf last Friday (11th September). Ever since the images of their wedding was posted online, the couple has been getting quite a lot of attention as this was no ordinary union.
What’s interesting about this couple is that they have a significant age gap of 34 years. The 62-year-old politician married a businessman who is only 28-years-old, after having been widowed for 5 years following the death of her previous husband.
According to the Jasin UMNO Youth chief, Dr Akmal, the couple had met at a gathering held at the former ADUN’s house in Melaka a few years ago. After their meeting, the couple fell in love and have now decided to tie the knot and also build a house together.
The newlyweds have stated that they will be spending their honeymoon in Cameron Highlands, Pahang. Definitely a beautiful location to enjoy the beginning of their futures together!
Pictures of the couple’s wedding was trending on social media during the weekend and, many netizens wished them the best of luck. The netizens supported the couple’s union and admired how their age gap of more than three decades did not stop them from celebrating their love.
