Dolly Parton & Kim Kardashian Sleeping With Make Up On
Raise your hand if you’ve ever slept with makeup on (most of us have, right?). You undoubtedly already know that one of the biggest skin care no-nos is sleeping with makeup on, and for good reason. However, there are still some famous people who do it on a regular basis!
Dolly Parton disclosed to The New York Times that she only ever cleanses her face in the morning. In order to avoid having to reveal her face in public during an emergency, she prefers to wear makeup at night. Kim Kardashian also acknowledged doing it, but she gave a different explanation: the star said it saved her time in the evening and that she occasionally wore the same cosmetics for two days. This “hack” won’t prevent future wrinkles or acne on your face, that much is certain.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Sunscreen Application
In 2021, Harper’s Bazaar published Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Guide To Everyday Skin Care And Wellness’. She admitted that she uses a sunscreen that is “clean” and free of the “harsh chemicals” found in traditional sunscreens. Is it tea? Your sunscreen contains NO dubious substances, and there is no scientific evidence to support the claims that minerals or so-called “clean” sunscreens are beneficial for your skin. So calm down; your skin isn’t being poisoned by your sunscreen. As she put it, “where the sun hits your skin” was on her nose and the area surrounding her eyes. NOPE! You need to apply it evenly all over your face (and neck too!) when you are outside because the sun will be hitting you from all angles.
Miranda Kerr Leech Facial
An extremely unusual beauty procedure called a leech facial was originally promoted by supermodel Miranda Kerr! She used them not only on her face, but also on her tailbone. Miranda said that she would also keep the leeches in her koi pond. Dermatologists advise leaving blood-sucking leeches in the pond from which they emerged. There is no proof that applying leeches to your face is beneficial, because they suck on your blood, which increases your risk of becoming anaemic. In fact, it’s just gross!
Huda Kattan’s At-Home Micro-needling Routine
Huda Kattan, founder of her namesake company, claims that she performs micro-needling at home every night to make sure that all of the treatments she uses are absorbed “deep into the skin.” Microneedling your skin at home can result in serious skin damage, much like doing extractions there. You risk contaminating your skin with bacteria and leaving scars and pigmentation if you don’t use the right cleaning supplies and techniques. So consult a PROFESSIONAL if you ever want to try microneedling!
Billie Eilish’s Extraction Routine
Using extraction tools on her face after applying a face mask is one of the steps in Billie Eilish’s skincare routine, which she demonstrated on Vogue this year. She claimed that she would typically “enter (her) body with her extraction equipment and severely harm (herself).” Well, that line pretty much sums everything up. The truth is that these tools can seriously harm your pores, frequently resulting in permanent damage, if you are not a professionally educated aesthetician or dermatologist. It may even make your acne worse and result in discolouration from broken capillaries. If you really want to extract your skin, you should probably leave it to the specialists.
