The new year started with a blessing for Hong Kong star Leo Ku (古巨基) and wife Lorraine Chan. On 1st January 2026 (Thursday), the singer announced the new addition to his family: his second son.
The singer started his announcement, saying, “Something incredibly touching happened to my wife, Kuson (first son), and me in 2025, and we wanted to share it with everyone on this New Year’s Day in 2026.” Leo explained that he and Lorraine decided to try for a second child after their firstborn expressed his wish to have a younger sibling.
In his post, Leo said both he and his wife grew up with siblings and thus understood the importance of having siblings to support each other as they become adults. While it’s unknown when the pair welcomed their newborn, the vocalist said Kuson and his brother are getting along very well and love each other dearly.
Leo ends his post with a promise, “I will continue to be a good husband and a good father.” The star also attached a photo of his second son’s hands, being held by the rest of the family. Netizens and fellow Hong Kong stars have reacted to the joyous news, sending in congratulatory messages to the family.
The news of Leo and Lorraine’s newborn also sparked interest because of the couple’s age, since Leo is 53 and Lorraine is 57. Additionally, the pair welcomed their Kuson in 2020, when they were 48 and 52, respectively. Despite giving birth at an older age, Lorraine appears to be in good health.
