Here Are 5 Netflix Shows That You Can Finish In 2 Weeks

Poeple are probably going to be losing their minds before this week is done but we have to try to keep ourselves occupied while waiting for all this movement control order (MCO) blow over. The perfect way to do this is by watching as much television as you can and honestly.

There are many shows to choose from and we’re sure your friends have gone on about “Stranger Things” and “Narcos” but let’s be honest here, hour long dramas can take a while and they require way more effort. You may have the time give them a shot or maybe you could consider covering as many shows as possible with each episode being roughly half an hour. This is why we’re gonna give you 5 Netflix shows you can finish in two weeks.

1. “GLOW”

Source: Just Watch

“GLOW” is one of the best written shows in Netflix. The series revolves around the fictionalization of the characters and gimmicks of the syndicated wrestling circuit, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW).

Set in the 1980s, the film stars Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder, an aspiring actress who auditions for a wrestling circuit alongside many other women. This comedy satirizes much of the excess of the 1980s along with the sexism present in the sports and entertainment industry. If you like wrestling, this is a must watch for you, if you like good comedies, this is essential viewing.

There are 30 episodes spread across three seasons and a few days binge-watch is enough to complete it. There are some longer episodes but they mostly reside in the half hour mark.

2. “Castlevania”

Source: Film Daily

This show is bonkers! Like, it’s insane. Based on the video game series of the same name, “Castlevania” is a fantasy action series that stands as a testament to what animation can achieve.

This series sees Dracula waging hell over the nation of Wallachia following the execution of his wife at the hands of the church. With this, a group of unlikely heroes would have to stop him and it’s damn good unadulterated action and bloodshed from there.

If you have delicate sensibilities, this show may not be for you but if you are ready for what the later seasons of “Game of Thrones” wishes it could have been, this is for you.

There are 22 episodes spread across three seasons with the first season only consisting of four episodes. This shouldn’t take more than two to three days to complete.

3. “American Vandal”

“American Vandal” is an underrated gem like no other. It is more engaging than many crime thriller out there and it’s not even a considered a crime thriller. This mockumentary series revolves around two different sets of narratives for each season. They revolve around school pranks and the quest to prove the innocence of the main suspects while finding out the perpetrators behind them.

This show is pretty hilarious and thrilling. The series itself is a satire of true crime documentaries like “Making a Murderer” yet it manages to put a lot of weight into the narrative giving it significant depth. Unfortunately, it was cancelled after two seasons cause life doesn’t let us have too many nice things.

Consisting of 16 episodes stretching across 2 seasons, this will probably take you a day and half, a full day if you’re really hardworking.

4. “F is for Family”

This raunchy adult animated comedy seems a bit fitting especially now that you’re spending a lot of time with your family.

Set in the 1970s, Frank Murphy (Bill Burr) needs to juggle his job, his relationship with his wife and his children. Sounds like yet another family sitcom right. Well, yes but thanks to the age of streaming that has further helped free television from the shackles of censorship that has plagued the medium for decades, we get to see these nuclear families for what they really are. And it’s hilarious.

YouTube video

There are only three seasons with 26 episodes in total so it shouldn’t take more than a few days to get this one sorted.

5. “Bojack Horseman”

Source: Slash Gear

“Bojack Horseman” is one of the greatest television shows of all time. The adult animated comedy follows an anthropomorphic horse by the name of Bojack Horseman (Will Arnett) who navigates through life in a world where anthropomorphic animals and humans live together in (almost) harmony.

Filled with zany characters, sharp writing and great animation, the film manages to earn its place here with its comedy alone but it goes beyond that on so many other levels. “Bojack Horseman” captures mental illness, existentialism and the human condition better than many other live-action television series ever could and it’s worth all the attention it can get.

YouTube video

The series concluded earlier this year and consists of 5 seasons, one of which is split into two parts and a total of 77 episodes. Yeah, it is longer than the other shows on this list but it would probably take you a solid week and it would definitely be a memorable week.

We Squid You Not: Netflix’s "Squid Games" Season 3 Drops This 27th June!

There we have it, 5 Netflix shows that you can finish in 2 weeks. If you want, you can squeeze some one hour dramas there too. Once this MCO is lifted, you’ll be coming out of your homes with much better taste in television (hopefully).
