5 Common Instagram Major Fails By Couples!

It’s become a universal experience for everyone to know at least one couple that just shares TOO MUCH. Whether it’s just normal selfies together or more explicit stuff (no judgement here), too much of anything just gets annoying!

And before you say we’re just being salty, we love, love! We love seeing cute pictures from couples that know how to do it properly. So, here are 5 common mistakes couples make on Instagram that you can avoid:

1. Constantly Posting About Each Other

We all know at least one obnoxious couple who only ever post about their relationship. But to be honest, it only gives the impression that you don’t have a life or care about anything besides your partner.

It makes sense if you recently acquired a boo, got engaged, got married, or went on a fantastic trip with one another. But taking couple selfie after couple selfie with nothing else is both extremely boring and occasionally irritating.

2. Writing Long, Gushy Paragraphs

Publicly going on and on about how great your partner is and how in love you are can be a sign of anxious attachment (oops, just got diagnosed). It’s as if you want the relationship to be as well known as possible so that it SEEMS extra solid and un-breakup-able. Get some help.

3. Posting EVERYTHING You Ever Do Together

You know it’s understandable if it’s like a super fun activity, or at a really aesthetically pleasing place – but honey, you don’t have to post the both of you EVERY SINGLE DAY whenever he picks you up.

"Soft Launching" Your Relationship On Social Media: Yea Or Nay?

Also, it’s concerning because if you’re on a date and actively posting 12-part stories of the date, then are you really present? Sounds more like you’re too busy on your phone trying to make the moment look enjoyable, rather than actually enjoying it.

4. Leaving Up Photos Of Your Ex In Your Feed/Highlights

^what you SHOULD be doing

Dating when you still have photos up of an ex (who you’re not still friends with) is honestly disrespectful to your partner, because why are you still trying to flaunt the dead relationship?

If it was a mutual, we’re-better-as-friends kind of breakup, then that’s always explainable. But still having photos together with an ex you don’t like is just unnecessary and looks more like you can’t move on… (tea)

5. Ranting On Instagram About A Fight/Problem

So you got into a fight and needed a medium to rant through, so you chose social media and now your followers have a brief breakdown of your fight and relationship. Horrible decision.

It’s not wrong to rant or ask for an opinion, but maybe not from A BUNCH of followers – personal problems like this aren’t meant to be shared with the public, it shouldn’t be anyone else’s business!
