It’s truly heartbreaking whenever we hear of a parent or caretaker abusing an innocent child. Thankfully, in some cases, the abuser gets arrested and taken far away from their victims.
Unfortunately for this family, the man who was accused of abusing his girlfriend’s daughter is currently still on the run. Here’s what happened:
A woman who goes by Ainin Sofiya posted on her Facebook, seeking help from others to locate a 30-year-old man accused of abusing the17-year-old girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter. According to her post, the man was last seen around the Desa Rejang area. “A police report has been filed and both the child and mother are in the hospital at the moment,” the netizen wrote.
The woman provided photos of the suspect as well as a copy of the police report. In the report, it was said that the victim and her child had been living in her boyfriend’s house where he would constantly scold the toddler for being too loud and active. The victim wrote that the man would hit her child with a clothing hanger and she was helpless to stop him.
The man once locked the baby in a room until the next morning and forbid the mother from opening the door. The 2-year-old suffered bruises all over her body including on her face, lips, and eyes. It is understood that a family friend attempted to rescue the mother-daughter duo but the abuser prevented that. However, when the police intervened, the abuser fled the scene.
Scrolling through the comments on the Facebook page, some claim that the man has a history of abusing women, but there hasn’t been concrete proof to support this. At the time of writing, there has been no update on the abuse case.
We hope that both victims are doing better and that their abuser will be brought to justice.
