There’s no doubt that Sandara Park (박산다라) is still a hot commodity, even at the age of 39. What’s more, the former 2NE1 member is still single and available!
For those who don’t know, the popular idol has been very vocal about her decision of not getting hitched. During her appearance in the YouTube show “No Back Tak Jae Hoon”, Sandara decided to spill the beans on her dating life and marriage views.
Fans have been particularly keen on Dara’s relationship, as she’s among the few idols who have never dated publicly since her debut. Previously, the “Fire” singer opened up about the time when she and the 2NE1 girls had to undergo a five-year long “dating ban”. “It was really hard. After I debuted, a lot of male celebrities tried to approach us. So, when CEO Yang Hyun Suk heard the rumour, they took away our phones.”
The “Lonely” singer added, “At that time, there were interested candidates from my seniors and juniors. I was 26 years old when I debuted, so I think I was at the right age (for dating). My juniors called me ‘noona’ and flirted with me, while my seniors were like, ‘Other idols are too young, but she is 26 years old.’ I dashed on both sides. I think I made a dash while saying, ‘I can overcome it’. I’ve dated celebrities, but I wasn’t involved in any scandals.”
Speaking on how she successfully avoided any dating scandals, Dara explained, “I used to date someone, but it was online. I felt sorry for my ex-boyfriend as well, since I only met him once or twice in person. I only contacted him via text message. I got dumped because I didn’t meet him, so it’s a sad story because we really didn’t meet face to face.”
MC Tak Jae Hoon then asked Sandara on her decision to not get married. “Do you hate men that much?” he asked, to which she replied, “It’s not like that. I want to stay single. There are too many people around me who have failed (at marriage).” When asked about who’s the closest person to Sandara, she literally pointed to the man near her, “He’s in front of me (while pointing at Jae Hoon’s direction),” making everyone burst into laughter.
