ARMY was totally in the feels as British rock band Coldplay brought out the “worldwide handsome” BTS (방탄소년단) member, Jin (진), as a special guest during their concert in Seoul on 19th April 2025 (Saturday). The surprise appearance tugged at fans’ heartstrings, marking a deeply emotional and unforgettable moment.
Coldplay is back in Korea for their tour “Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour” concert at the Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, South Korea. Jin’s unexpected appearance was hinted at during rehearsals before the concert when the sound of the music began circulating. Fans were thrilled by the reunion, which had been 2 years and 6 months in the making.
The global superstar band took to the stage in Seoul, where they were joined by BTS’s Jin for two collaborations: “My Universe” and “The Astronaut”. “My Universe” was originally released as a joint single between Coldplay and BTS in September 2021, while “The Astronaut” is Jin’s solo single, which debuted in October 2022.
The idol made a heartfelt return to the stage and shared an emotional message with fans on both sides. “Before I went to the military, my last performance was with Coldplay. Now, my first concert after being discharged is also with Coldplay,” he said, drawing cheers from the crowd. Coldplay’s vocalist, Chris Martin, added to the touching moment, saying, “It’s all thanks to you that we have this beautiful connection with BTS. We’ve missed you, mate. You’ve been off serving, but you still look as handsome as ever. Just look at this beautiful man!”
Fellow BTS member Namjoon (김남준), also known as RM, was spotted commenting on the post, expressing how deeply moved he was by Jin and Coldplay’s heartfelt reunion. Fans, particularly ARMY, were swept up in a wave of nostalgia, with one of the fan commented “Seeing Coldplay a group that I grew up with and seeing Jin never in my life would I ever thought that this kind of collaboration with my two favourite bands would ever come true I can’t stop crying. I’m so happy that I’m alive to see this moment.”
