Calling all Pokémon trainers! A very exciting announcement was made last night (Tuesday, 18th March) that will take you back to your childhood. Over the years, the famous Japanese franchise has collaborated with countless brands to produce high-quality products for fans, and this time is no different.
The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company posted a teaser on their social media pages to announce that official LEGO Pokémon sets will be hitting stores next year! “Get ready to electrify your imagination in 2026 💛⚡️,” the caption reads. Here’s what we know about the latest partnership so far:

The teaser showed several yellow and brown LEGO pieces coming together to form the tail of the iconic Pokémon, Pikachu, who is also the official company mascot, before illuminating the LEGO and Pokémon logos with its electric attacks. From this video alone, we can definitely expect a Pikachu LEGO set next year—but will that be all?
Not much else is known about the upcoming set but based on previous collaborations, it’s possible that fans can expect multiple LEGO sets from the beloved franchise. “We are thrilled to work with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fan base like Pokémon, partnering to deliver what our shared audiences have been asking for. We firmly believe that, through the endless possibilities of LEGO play and the exciting adventures of the Pokémon world, this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for trainers and builders alike,” said Julia Goldin, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at LEGO Group, in a statement.

If you’re wondering why it feels like you’ve seen Pokémon LEGO sets in stores before, it’s probably because you’ve come across the MEGA BLOKS Pokémon toys and sets by Mattel. While they aren’t LEGO, some components are said to be LEGO-compatible. So, while we wait for more details about the upcoming LEGO sets, here’s the teaser that’s got everyone excited. Which Pokémon would you like to see in this partnership?
