Actress Bella Astillah and politician Syed Saddiq have yet to officially confirm their relationship, but fans have been nothing but supportive of their romance . The pair have been spending a lot of time together, and the mother-of-two even became flustered when asked about a potential partner.
It is known that Bella’s family, or at least her sister, approves of her partner, but what about Syed Saddiq’s family? During a livestream over the weekend, Syed Abdullah, the older brother of the young Member of Parliament, shared his thoughts on his sibling’s alleged relationship. Here’s what he had to say:
Syed Abdullah was live on TikTok over the weekend when one of his viewers asked about Syed Saddiq’s relationship with Bella Astillah. The 38-year-old clarified that he has yet to meet the actress but shared that his brother has been incredibly happy lately. “I’ve known my younger brother his whole life, but I’ve rarely seen him this happy. So, if he’s happy, I’m happy,” he said.
He expressed that one of his main concerns about their potential relationship is the fact that Bella has a phobia of cats, while Syed Saddiq adores them. While viewers jokingly suggested protesting outside the Parliament building to urge the young politician to marry the songstress, the content creator stated that he wholeheartedly agrees that it is about time for his sibling to settle down.
“I 100% agree. I believe Bella is the right partner for him. Both of them are incredibly hardworking individuals, but again, I don’t have much say in this. In the end, it’s their decision. I will support my brother no matter what,” he said before ending his broadcast by promising to send his viewers’ regards to Bella when the day comes for him to finally meet her.
Meanwhile, the brothers’ mother, Sharifah Mahani Syed Abdul Aziz, also responded to a TikTok comment about her son’s relationship. She described the couple as the characters Romeo and Juliet, the star-crossed lovers from Shakespeare’s most iconic play “Romeo and Juliet”.
“Look at his behaviour, swimming from one corner to another. He’s never done that with his own mother; Never swam, never climbed a mountain or anything,” she quipped, referring to the activities the politician has done with the “Satu Hari Nanti” star. It’s now clear that close friends and relatives are nothing but supportive of the rumoured couple.
