On 1st February 2025 (Saturday), K-pop icons 2NE1 (투애니원) rocked the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil with their long-awaited “Welcome Back” concert. However, that wasn’t the only place the BLACKJACKs (2NE1 fans) flocked to over the weekend.
Upon her arrival in Kuala Lumpur, 2NE1 member Sandara Park (박산다라) surprised Malaysian fans by revealing the Malaysian-themed T-shirt that she had custom-made from Nike. The shirt included drawings of three iconic Malaysian foods – nasi lemak, teh tarik and tea in the “ikat tepi” style, all with references to the Nike brand. The designs are part of Nike’s collaboration with local artist Izzati Suza for their “Nike By You” campaign in 2022.

Unsurprisingly, the shirt quickly gained traction from local fans, many of whom wanted to sport the same shirt as the K-pop idol. As such, many BLACKJACKs flocked to the Nike store at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to get their hands on the same custom shirt, now dubbed the “Nike Lemak” shirt. One Twitter user who visited the store on 2nd February 2025 (Sunday) even took a video to show the amount of orders the store received for the shirt.
Izzati Suza also visited the store over the weekend to grab a custom “Nike Lemak” shirt for herself. She shared a video of her visit on social media, expressing disbelief over the support for her designs. The artist previously shared her excitement upon learning that Sandara made a custom shirt using her artwork. Many Malaysian netizens have congratulated her on the achievement, saying they’ll continue to support her work.

It’s incredible how one t-shirt can make such a difference. We’re sure Izzati will be ecstatic to see her work on many more local BLACKJACKs, and we can’t wait to see Sandara rock the “Nike Lemak” shirt in Malaysia again.
