As BTS (방탄소년단) member V (뷔) is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, many ARMYs look forward to every update that they can get on the idol. The 28-year-old recently garnered netizens’ attention after sharing a new achievement on his fitness goals.
V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung (김태형), recently posted on the online fan community Weverse, greeting fans for the upcoming Lunar New Year celebration. In his post, he also briefly shared what he’s been up to in the military. The singer revealed that he’s been focusing on working out during his service. Before his enlistment, the BTS member talked about his goals while in the military, saying he wanted to reach a weight of 82kg.

Since the star mentioned working out, a fan asked about his progress in hitting his weight goal. V confirmed that he has achieved his target weight and is working hard to maintain it. Of course, hitting an ideal weight goal shows one’s hard work and commitment, but what fans are more focused on is V’s figure. Since military training can be vigorous, many believe the star achieved his weight goal by building muscle.
V previously went viral on social media for appearing more muscular since beginning his military service. Many even compare his physique in before and after photos, noticing a huge difference after just a year of enlistment, especially in his arms and shoulders. Since the star is known for his slender figure, many said he now looks more manly, and they said they can’t wait to see him return from the military looking more buff.

V, along with his BTS members Suga (슈가), RM, Jimin (지민) and Jungkook (정국), will complete their mandatory military service in June 2025. Are you excited to see the singer return with a more muscular physique?
