In late 2023, local internet star Tomato married influencer Dodo (肚肚) after 14 years of dating. However, the SteadyGang member has recently confirmed that the couple are divorcing following rumours of marital problems.
Tomato, whose real name is Lee MingHong (transliteration from 李铭鴻), took to Instagram to confirm the couple’s separation. In his Stories post, he wrote, “Thank you all for your concern. We have reached a consensus to end this marriage.” The influencer also said the pair would deal with the matter privately and asked the public to give them space during this difficult time. Dodo reposted the Stories post but didn’t add any comments of her own.
The divorce comes after rumours that the couple were facing marital problems because Tomato and Dodo deleted images of them from their respective Instagram accounts. On Tomato’s account, most of the posts deleted were from this past year, but photos from their wedding shoot remained. On the other hand, Dodo has wiped off all traces of her husband from her Instagram account.
In addition to deleting past photos, Tomato shared a cryptic post on his Instagram account. The post was an image of him performing on stage, with the captions, “Everything is good. If it’s not good, it’s not over yet”. Dodo also recently posted a mysterious message on Threads that wrote, “Don’t be the bad guy”. Both posts sparked a lot of debate about what happened between the two, with some even questioning if the separation was due to infidelity.
Unfortunately, the pair didn’t provide information on why they had sought divorce less than a year after marriage. Nevertheless, we wish Tomato and Dodo all the best in their private matters.
