The week has just started, but we already have some explosive news out of Hollywood.
From Samara Weaving once again playing a deadly game, to Henry Cavill riding an iconic mecha to battle, here’s the latest scoop on what’s coming to a screen near you, soon!
Samara Weaving & Crew Return For “Ready Or Not 2”

If you want your horror fix laced with a touch of comedy, then get ready, as the 2019 flick “Ready or Not” is getting a sequel!
For those unfamiliar with the story, the original movie centres on bride-to-be Grace (played by Samara Weaving) entering the stately home of her wealthy fiancé Alex (played by Mark O’Brien). In order to be fully welcomed into the family, she must participate in a special ritual: pulling a card from a puzzle card game. If someone happens to draw the Hide and Seek card, as Grace does, then a deadly game ensues, just to appease the devil that an ancient ancestor of Alex made a deal with.

Film creators Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella (who are collectively known as Radio Silence), are reuniting to create the sequel. Not only that, but they have also invited the original film’s lead star, Samara Weaving, to be a part of the sequel as well.
They aren’t the only ones returning; if anything, it seems like the whole gang is coming back together. Tripp Vinson, Bradley J. Fischer, William Sherak, and James Vanderbilt are returning to produce the film, with the executive producers being Villella and Tara Farney. Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy will be returning to the writers seat, being especially silent about the plot of the upcoming sequel.

“Ready or Not” was a simple film, made on a budget of only US$6 million – but due to its intriguing and original story, phenomenal acting, and stellar CGI and practical effects, it managed to gross over US$28 million in the US and a total of US$57.6 million in the global box office.
Henry Cavill Gears Up For Live-action “Voltron” Role

From his love of the “Witcher” novel series to his “Warhammer 40,000” army, Henry Cavill has once again proven why he is the undisputed king of the nerds, as he steps up to pilot his very own Voltron robot.
Rawson Marshall Thurber (known for his work in “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” and “We’re the Millers”) will be directing the film. Because of Cavill’s involvement in this adaptation, the project as well as the IP, is receiving renewed and significant interest both from fans of the anime genre and his previous popular works.

That’s not all. The A-lister is working with Daniel Quinn-Toye, a young artist who has attracted a lot of interest and respect from the director and the studio. Quinn-Toye has become a prominent figure in the industry, thanks in large part to his outstanding performances in the West End, and having starred alongside actor Tom Holland. Together, they are spearheading the effort to assemble a stellar cast for the upcoming live-action “Voltron” remake. As to what they will play, we have yet to find out.
There have also been rumours that this live-action flick might actually have a tie-in with other major franchises as it is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. However, there is no news that confirms nor denies this, as the production team has their lips tightly sealed.
