(Videos) Sashay, You Stay! KL Fashion Week 2024 Was A Win For Malaysian Designers!

After a dazzling display of over 50 designers and brands, Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2024 concluded its seven days of celebrating the city’s biggest and best homegrown fashion in iconic form.

Housed in an impressive purpose-built structure at the Esplanade, KLCC Park, the annual fashion event welcomed an estimated 13,500 guests over the week, in partnership with iconic shopping destination Suria KLCC and KLCC Property.

With Petronas Twin Towers as its backdrop, the 12th edition of KLFW took over a show space spanning a befitting 12,000 sq ft across its main showhall, runways and various activation spaces.

From 29th July to 4th August 2024, shoppers of Suria KLCC also enjoyed the shows via livestream on a large LED screen panel fitted as part of the venue. 

The Melium Group unveiled stunning piece after piece (left), while Fuzana Mokthaza debuted her new RTW line, FUZA (right).

From rising newcomers to veteran powerhouses, the 27 shows that made up the style-packed calendar delivered diversity, innovation and authenticity with every look, complete with surprise performances and familiar faces on the runway. 

One of the notable highlights was L’Oréal Paris’ ‘Walk Your Worth’ runway event. The tagline “Because You’re Worth It” was the first brand message to highlight the power of self-confidence and has since become a unifying, empowering call for women of all ages and backgrounds. It symbolizes L’Oréal Paris’s mission to encourage women to fearlessly embrace their ambitions and believe in their self-worth every day.

By taking their beauty into their own hands, women can empower themselves, and L’Oréal Paris is dedicated to reinforcing this message until women everywhere confidently declare, “we never doubted it for a moment.” The collaboration, themed around neo-fashion for 2024, provides a prestigious and forward-thinking platform for L’Oréal Paris to bring the ‘Walk Your Worth’ campaign to life.
